a drifting thought

This was one of the most beautiful few hours of sightseeing I have enjoyed – I went on a temples tour which meanders through the countryside around Jaffna, includes a stop off at Keerimalai spring and loops back round via the islands connected to the city by a causeway. This was organized by D’Villa Guest House and can take between 3-6 hours depending on how long you wish to stop at each place. You are not permitted to take photos inside the temples so these are all from the non enclosed areas. From the many unbelievablely intricate and colourful Hindu shrines to small Christian churches by the sea and ancient Buddhist ruins, its a huge amount to absorb and the briliance of the colours and landscape stayed with me for a longtime.
